Protocol of big environmental lobbies

Manatís, with the presence of its CEO Jacqueline Ruiz C. created and developed the protocol of the first meeting of SwitchMedConnect, an initiative created by the European Union in order to connect and support those interested in a healthier Mediterranean, increasing social and ecological innovations. The meeting, held at the Centre for Contemporary Culture in Barcelona (CCCB), was attended by senior international political. Jacqueline Ruiz was responsible for giving value and presence to the authorities , 400 leaders of ecological and social innovation from 16 countries of the Mediterranean.


From left to right: Enrique de Villamore (head of the Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production), Josep Enric Llebot (Secretary of Environment and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya), Guillermina Yanguas (General Director of Quality and Environmental Assessment and Natural Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment), Eva Herrera (Ecology Commissioner of Barcelona), Habib El-Habr (Coordinador adjunto del programa ambiental de las Naciones Unidas), Stephan Sicars (Director de Medio Ambiente de las Naciones Unidas) y Nicola Di Pietrantonio (Director general de Desarrollo y Cooperación de las Naciones Unidas).

The congress had a prestigious opening, with national and international institutions, as the Ministry of Environment, with the presence of Ms. Guillermina Yanguas and the Secretary of Environment and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya , Mr. Josep Enric Llebot, and with the participation of the United Nations Director of Environment, Mr. Stephan Sicars. All this was promoted by Mr. Enrique de Villamore, head of the Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production and responsible for the development and structure of the congress.


The attendance of figures from several Mediterranean countries required the professionalism and know-how of a specialist protocol agency like Manatís. This protocol was not only managed at the opening, but also in high-level sessions with the presence of authorities from ministries in Jordan, Algeria, Israel, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia. To finish the meeting, Mr. Enrique de Villamore invited An external activity of the congress. attendees to enjoy an ecological fashion show and delicious catering.
